Code Blue II: Your Patient is in Jeopardy
Description: The second annual Code Blue Challenge will take place on February 16th. Code Blue II: Your Patient is in Jeopardy is an opportunity for students in health programs from four different institutions to join together in a challenging learning experience. The goals of this event are (1) to provide healthcare students with an opportunity to become part of an interdisciplinary team that must ‘work together’ in order to demonstrate many of the same skills that are required for collaborative healthcare practice, and (2) to increase public awareness of the healthcare education programs available in the Greater Saint John area.
Teams of four individuals from at least three different health disciplines will compete for scholarships and prizes during a healthcare based game show. Teams will answer skill testing questions from multiple aspects of healthcare education and practice. However, they will not be alone. They can exercise their options to poll the audience, ask an expert, ask a stranger or 50/50, to try to improve their chances. Speed of knowledge is critical to the game; just as speed of critical thinking and action are required to manage real Code Blue emergencies.
Please consider supporting the healthcare students and enjoying a night out complete with some of the scrumptious dessert options for the low cost of $10.
Tickets are available at the door or you can buy them in advance for reserved seating by contacting Judy Armstrong juditha@unbsj.ca or Boon Kek boonkek@unbsj.ca
